16 more cases in Karnali Province, tally at 278



JUMLA: Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 16 more people in Karnali Province including a 4-month-old baby on Wednesday.

A PCR test conducted at Karnali Institute of Health Sciences, Jumla and Avian Disease Investigation Laboratory, Surkhet confirmed the new cases.

Out of 16, seven are from Dailekh, two from Salyan and seven from Kalikot, Head of the Public Health Services Division under the Ministry of Social Development, Dr. Laxmi Narayan Tiwari informed.

With this, the number of coronavirus cases in Karnali has reached 278.

There are 105 cases in Dailekh, 61 in Surkhet, 55 in Salyan, 19 in Jumla, 25 in Kalikot, one in Mugu, one in Bajura, 10 in Achham and one in Bajhang.

One person has died of coronavirus in Dailekh.
