KMC shut down after medical persons infected with COVID-19

KATHMANDU:  Kathmandu Medical College (KMC) has been shut down indefinitely after Coronavirus infection cases were found in medical persons.

Issuing a notice, KMC said the hospital has shut down all its services except for emergency department.

Prof. Dr. Mukunda Raj Joshi said all the services will remain closed for some days for disinfection after medical persons tested positive for coronavirus at the hospital.

“The hospital will remain closed for some days for disinfection after coronavirus cases were found in medical persons,” said Joshi.

Meanwhile Joshi has refuted the information given by the Ministry of Health and Population saying that the message is erroneous.

The Ministry on Tuesday said four medical persons were infected with the deadly virus at KMC.

Refuting the information, KMC said among those infected at KMC are two medical persons while the remaining two are patients.
