Sanitizer production training in Tulsipur

Tulsipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) organized a two-day sanitizer production training in Tulsipur to overcome shortage through local production and equip the municipality to stem COVID-19 pandemic spread.

The training is part of a series of COVID-19 related activities supported by USAID which also includes training to healthcare workers, production of sanitizer and disinfectant and media awareness campaign.

Participated in by 50 volunteers from different organizations, the sub-metropolis will produce 1,250 liters of sanitizer to be freely distributed to all 19 wards of Tulsipur Sub Metropolis.

Health Minister Dhakal hints at easing lockdown after May 7

Minister for Health and Population Bhanubhakta Dhakal on Friday hinted that the COVID-19 lockdown will be eased after May 7.

Speaking at the Legislation Management Committee of the National Assembly, Minister Dhakal hinted that some lockdown restriction will be lifted to bring the day to day life back in the track.

Saying that the government has been receiving suggestions to ease the lockdown, Minister Dhakal said that the government has already started international preparations for that.

Minister Dhakal was of the opinion that the format of the lockdown can be changed taking account of agriculture, industries and other important areas into account.

Sanitization tunnel established at Nagdhunga

A disinfection tunnel has been established at Nagdhunga, the entrance to the country’s capital, Kathmandu. Sundar Yatayat, a transport company operating electric vehicles in Kathmandu, has initiated the establishment of the tunnel after getting permission from the government.

The tunnel has come into operation from Friday. The tunnel aims to free vehicles entering Kathmandu from coronavirus by spraying them with sodium hypochlorite, according to Chairperson of the Yatayat, Bhesh Bahadur Thapa.

Price of LPG goes down in India

The price of liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has gone down in India. Fuel marketing companies have slashed the prices of the LPG by INRs 162 per cylinder, according to Indian media reports.

Price adjustment in fuel is done on the first day of every month in India. Petroleum price has been going down in India since the last three months.
