SC declines interim order on Nepalis stranded at border points

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday refused to issue an interim order on a writ filed demanding to allow Nepalis stranded at border points to enter.

Responding to a writ filed by Advocate Manish Shrestha, Ramdutta Ojha, Maniram Upadhyaya, Devi Kumari Joshi, Deepakraj Joshi and Kirtinath Sharma, a single bench of Justice Hari Krishna Karki denied to issue an interim order.

The bench ordered presenting a similar writ together for a next hearing.

Hundreds of Nepalis have been left marooned at different entry points with India after Nepal closed border following a lockdown.
