COVID-19 death toll climbs to 13,155 in Italy

KATHMANDU: Coronavirus has claimed the highest number of people in Italy as of Thursday morning.

According to the latest figures collated by  Worldomer, the death toll from the COVID-19 has reached 13, 155 after 727 died in the last 24 hours.

Similarly, the total infection cases have surged to 110,574 after 4,782 were infected in a single day.

A total of 16, 847 among those infected with the new virus have recovered after treatment.

Likewise, the condition of 4,035 among 80,572 who are currently undergoing treatment is critical.

The first coronavirus case had been reported in Italy on January 29.

According to Johns Hopkins University, a total of 46, 809 have died and 932,605 have been infected across the globe as of Thursday morning.

Similarly, 193, 177 among those infected have recovered after treatment.
