Wuhan evacuees celebrate leaving quarantine after 16 days

KATHMANDU: A total of 175 Nepali evacuees from Wuhan, China quarantined for coronavirus returned home on Monday after being diagnosed negative for the deadly virus.

State Minister for Health Nawaraj Raut bid them farewell at the quarantine at Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) training center in Kharipati, Bhaktapur.

The evacuees were elated after getting a chance to meet their family members after spending 16 days at the quarantine.

Five buses were arranged for dropping them to their respective homes.
