Police arrests one alleged in kidnapping a child

BHAKTAPUR:  Aashish Thapa, a man alleged in kidnapping Grishma Raut(name changed) 6,  studying in UKG in Glory English School, Nikoshera, Bhaktapur has been arrested by police.

Alleged Thapa 20, who hails from Lalbandi-5, Sarlahi used to live in Bode, Bhaktapur.

According to the police, Thapa had claimed 1.6 million as ransom for the release of the child. He had asked the relatives of the child to hand-over the ransom at Bhatbhateni, Thimi.

5 hours after the kidnapping the Metropolitan Crime Investigation Division, Teku and Metropolitan Police Circle Thimi managed to arrest the alleged.

The police was mobilized immediately after the news about Raut being kidnapped by the motorcyclist.

According to the sources, the kidnappers had left her in the Jungle of Ghyampe Danda, Bhaktapur when the child cried loudly and uncontrollably.

The passersby who found the child crying had later taken her back to school.
