ANFA calls 58 players for training

KATHMANDU: All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has called 58 players for training.

ANFA has invited members of the men’s national football team for close camp training. Out of these players called for the training 24 are new.

According to ANFA sources, ANFA’s Acting Coach Bal Gopal Maharjan has called the team members for the training.

The players invited are players who were initially selected for the two friendly matches against Bangladesh last month.

The football team will train at a close camp at Satdobato-based ANFA Complex. The camp is meant as a preparation for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in Qatar and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup in China.

According to the sources, Biraj Maharjan, Aditya Chaudhary, Bimal Gharti Magar, Santosh Tamang and Dinesh Rajbanshi are also expected to return to the camp. “The players will gather on December 12 and the training will start officially,” an ANFA official told Khabarhub.

The list of the players invited for training: Goalkeeper: Kiran Kumar Limbu, Bikesh Kuthu, Bishal Shrestha, Deep Karki, Bishal Sunar, Arpan Karki and Dev Limbu

Defender: Devendra Tamang, Rajin Dhimal, Viraj Maharjan, Biksa Khawas, Suman Aryal, Bikas Tamang, Ananta Tamang, Nishan Khadka, Chhiring Gurung, Dinseh Rajbanshi, Randeep Poudel, Saroj Dahal, Amit Tamang, Ajit Bhandari, Aditya Chaudhary, Suraj BK, Ashish Gurung, Dilen Loktan and Rohit Chand

Mid-fielder: Sujal Shrestha, Bishal Rai, George Prince Karki, Mikchen Tamang, Santosh Tamang, Sunil Bal, Hemanta Thapa Magar, Rajat Tiwari, Jaya Gurung, Arik Bisht, Ashok Thapa, Subash Gurung, Dipesh Ale Magar, Tej Tamang, Ravi Paswan, Pujan Uparkoti, Tridev Gurung, Sisehang Angdembe, Sanjok Rai, and Nitin Thapa
