67 more cases added to Province 2 coronavirus tally on Monday

Province lawmaker, CDO test COVID-19 positive



JANAKPURDHAM: Including Province lawmaker and a Chief District Officer, Province 2 has seen 67 fresh cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours.

According to the Bijaya Jha, the Acting Director of the Province Health Directorate of Province 2, Province lawmaker Parameshwor Sah and Chief District Officer of Dhanusha Prem Prasad Bhattarai are also added to the coronavirus positive case list today.

Jha informed that the province saw 21 COVID cases in Dhanusha, 13 in Parsa, 7 in Siraha, 6 in Rautahat, 5 in Bara, 4 in Mahottari, 2 in Sarlahi, and 1 in Saptari today. In the swabs tested in the province today, 8 people outside the province have also tested coronavirus positive.

With this, the total number of coronavirus cases in this province has propelled to 15,742 on Monday.

Likewise, the province got 98 persons discharged after recovery today. The number of cases discharged after recovery here has reached 14,322 now.

The province witnessed 2 COVID-19 related deaths on Monday.  Including Monday’s death cases there have been 170 coronavirus-related deaths in this province.
