President, PM extend condolences on Kuwaiti Amir’s passing away



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has sent a message of condolences to His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, on the passing away of late Amir His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

In the message, the President has extended heartfelt condolences to the members of the royal family and Government and the people of Kuwait.

President Bhandari has said that late Amir was a visionary statesman who made significant contribution for peace, progress and prosperity of his people and played important role in fostering understanding and cooperation in the region.

Separately, Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli has also sent a message of condolences to His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, expressing deep sadness on the passing away of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait.

In the message, PM Oli has stated that Nepal has lost a true friend and well-wisher in the demise of late Amir.
