KAPILVASTU: Police arrested a person along with half a kg of gold he was smuggling towards India from Kapilbastu.
Pawan Kumar Gupta, 34, was arrested with the gold at Bankasiya, Mayadevi rural municipality-7 when he was heading towards India on his motorcycle (Lu 56 Pa 6310).
Police confiscated the gold, a gold chain and ring from him.
The gold is valued at Rs 4.2 million.
Gupta has been sent to the Revenue Investigation Office Butwal for necessary action.
