KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is convening a meeting of the party Secretariat at the Prime Minister’s official residence on Saturday.
The meeting of the Secretariat to he held at 4 pm is likely to discuss the cabinet reshuffle, appointment so ambassadors, among others contemporary issues.
The venue meeting is also likely to change to Peris Danda, sources said adding, “It is most likely that it will be held at Baluwatar.”
It may be noted that party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and other senior leaders, including Jhalanath Khanal are disappointed with Thursday’s cabinet decision of recommending the names of ambassadors, including former Finance Minister Dr Yuvaraj Khatiwada without discussing the issue with the party.
According to party sources, the meeting will discuss the task of completing the unification process of the two parties — erstwhile CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center), which was entrusted to chairman duo Prime Minister KP Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”, and party General Secretary Bishnu Poudel early last week.
Likewise, the meeting is also likely to discuss financial assistance to the NCP whole-timers and the central committee members, along with cabinet reshuffle.
The meeting will also discuss the implementation of the decisions taken by the party’s Standing Committee meeting held recently.
