MORANG:  Five people have been arrested with arms and ammunitions from Biratnagar Metropolitan City-4, Kanchanbari.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police deployed from District Police Office, Morang, arrested five individuals including 27-year-old Abhishek Raya of Katahari rural municipality-2.

A motorbike, Ko 32 Pa 7525, a semi-automatic pistol, a magazine and its three rounds of bullets were also seized from their possession during the arrest.

According to police, they were involved in criminal activities including extortion and robberies in the area sine long.
