KATHMANDU: The Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) has stated that taxes can’t be paid within the deadline issued by the Inland Revenue Department.

NCC said that taxes can’t be paid as the lockdown has been enforced to steam coronavirus for the past 70 days and all business actives have come to a grinding halt.

Issuing a statement on Tuesday it said that the budget for the coming year has accepted that the business sector is facing a difficult challenge.

Therefore, the issuing of a deadline to file income tax, value-added tax and excise duty is wrong, it said.
