DOLPA: Three girls have died after being swept away by Bheri River in the district.

The deceased have been identified as Yashodha Bhandari, 12, Ganga Kathayat, 10, and Vijaya Kathayat, 10, of Motipur in Thulivheri Municipality-9, DSP Narayan Ranjitkar of Dolpa said.

Yashodha Bhandari and Vijaya Kathayat were rescued by the police two kilometers downstream.

DSP Ranjitkar said that the hospital pronounced them dead even though they were rushed to the district hospital.

The body of Ganga Kathayat was found 5 kilometers downstream.
