India returnee dies at isolation in Palpa

PALPA: A man who was undergoing treatment at the isolation of a hospital in the district has died on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Ram Bahadur Dishuwa, 45, of Siluwa in Purbakhola Rural Municipality-1.

He died at 12:30 pm today at the United Mission Hospital in Tansen, said Jeevan Bhattarai, the hospital’s administrative head.

He was admitted to the isolation of Mission Hospital on Monday morning with difficulty breathing, bloating, dry cough and blood in his sputum.

According to Bhattarai, there were some signs of coronavirus in the deceased.

Bhattarai said that the swab sample has been sent to Bhairahawa laboratory for a PCR test.

Dishuwa had reached Palpa on Sunday from India.
