Number of COVID-19 infected people reaches 37 in Gandaki Province



KASKI: The number of people testing positive for coronavirus has reached 37 in the Gandaki Province.

According to the Province Health Directorate, Pokhara, five more individuals have tested positive for COVID-19 infection today.

Of them, four men are from Chapakot municipality of Syangja district who were staying in quarantine constructed at the municipality, and a person, staying in quarantine constructed at Biruwa rural municipality.

Similarly, coronavirus has been confirmed among five persons of Parbat including two from Falebas of Parbat, staying in a quarantine of Kushma municipality, and three from Mahashila rural municipality, according to Director at the Directorate, Dr. Binod Bindu Sharma.

Preparation is on to take all the new coronavirus infected people at isolation units of concerned district hospitals.

A total of 12 people in Syangja district, eight in Baglung, nine in Nawalparasi, five in Parbat, one each in Tanahun, Lamjung and Myagdi have so far tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, three persons have returned home after recovery as of today, according to the Directorate. RSS
