9 ‘VIP’ gamblers remanded to 5-day custody



KATHMANDU: Nine ‘VIP’ gamblers arrested from a hotel in Kamaladi have been remanded to five days in custody on Tuesday.

According to DSP Ranjan Dahal of the Metropolitan Police Circle Durbarmarg, Chief District Officer Janak Raj Dahal has given five days to the police to investigate the case.

Acting on a tip-off, a police squad from Metropolitan Police Circle Durbarmarg had arrested them on Monday night.

Police had seized Rs 277,720 from them during the raid.
