Dr. KC starts his 18th hunger strike

DARCHULA: Orthopedic surgeon Prof. Dr. Govinda KC has started staging his 18th hunger strike, this time, at Darchula’s district headquarters Khalanga, from, Tuesday morning.

According to Pritam Subedi, the Dr. KC’s aide, Dr. KC has started his 18th strike, this time for two days, in Darchula’s Khalanga on Tuesday.

This time Dr. KC has demanded the prosperity of the people living the border areas, the security of nation’s sovereignty, quality education and also to ensure everyone’s access to quality education and healthcare.

His demands include initiating measures to show substantive control and claim over the land encroached by India, and initiating procedures to establish medical colleges in the places like Dadeldhura, Bardibas, Udayapur, Ilam,  to mention but a few.
