KATHMANDU: Nepal Ayurvedic Medicine Producers Association (NAMPA) has provided 500 protective jackets to ayurvedic doctors and health workers working at the frontline in the treatment of COVID-19 patients.

A team comprising the Association president Binod Poudel, vice-president Man Bahadur Saud, general secretary Suman Pandey among other officials, handed over the jackets to Ayurveda Physicians Association of Nepal (APAN) president Dr Prakash Gyawali and Society of Ayurveda Health Workers of Nepal president Devraj Lamichhane.

In the occasion, NAMPA president Poudel said the ayurvedic medicines can help in the prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19.

Dr Gyawali said this gesture of support by NAMPA has shown that the ayurvedic medicine producers, physicians and health workers were together in the fight against coronavirus pandemic. He stressed that ayurveda should be developed as the first choice of people for health care and promoted from the state level itself.
