Ward Chair shot at, unscathed



KAPILVASTU: Chairman of Yashodhara rural municipality, Ward No. 8, has come under gunfire last night.

The Ward Chair, Sahabuddin Musalman, is unscathed in the incident.

Two unidentified persons fired four bullets at Musalman at around 1 am while he had been sleeping at his house at Khoriya Gaon, Yashodhara rural municipality-8, District Police Office’s Deputy Superintendent Sunil Malla said.

Police said none of the bullets hit Musalman.

Malla said they have taken a local Pappu Musalman under control suspecting his involvement in the shooting incident.

According to the locals, the Ward Chair and Pappu have an old dispute between them.
