France reports 24, 376 deaths, 167, 178 infection cases



KATHMANDU: France has reported 289 deaths in the last 24 hours taking to death toll to 24, 376 deaths as of Friday morning.

According to reports, the number of infection cases has surged to 167, 178 after 758 new cases were reported in a single day.

Currently, 93, 326 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 4, 019 are critical. Meanwhile, 49, 476 have returned home after recovery.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 233,814 and infecting 3,303,850 people as of Friday morning.
