Deuba’s concern: What’s barring the govt to probe into Baskota’s audio leak?

KATHMANDU: President of main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) Sher Bahadur Deuba has raised serious concern for failing to initiate an investigation over the controversial audio leak involving former Communications Minister Gokul Baskota.

Speaking at today’s session of the parliament, Deuba said it is too late to probe on the issue.

He also asked whether ‘others’ were involved in the deal. “In the voice said to be Baskota’s, he has said that the commission from the deal would be shared among us. I want to know about those other persons who were supposed to get the commission,” Deuba said.

NC President Deuba also said Prime Minister KP Oli should clarify the issue at the earliest.

He also raised serious concern over the government apathy on the coronavirus urging the latter to take immediate steps to check it from coming to Nepal.
