SUNSARI: Sunsari Police have arrested SSP Saurav Rana accused of sexually exploiting a woman.
District Police Office, Sunsari said that SSP Rana was arrested from his official residence on Saturday evening.
A team deployed from District Police Office, Sunsari and Area Police Office, Dharan arrested Rana.
Earlier, the Home Ministry had suspended the high ranking official of Nepal Police.
He has been accused of sexually abusing a woman while he was working at the federal police unit Dharan.
In October last year, the victim had lodged a case at the Home Ministry accusing Rana of sexually exploiting her.
