Nirmal Aryal files candidacy for deputy mayor in France



KATHMANDU: Nirmal Aryal of Nepali origin is contesting elections for the post of deputy mayor to be held in France in March.

Aryal has filed his candidacy for the post of deputy mayor of Aubervilliers municipality representing Socialist Party. The local level election is slated for March 15 and 22.

Aubervilliers municipality with a population of around 85,000 is the fourth biggest municipality in the Seine-Saint-Denis district in the north-eastern suburbs of Paris.

Born in Gorkha, Aryal is the former president of Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRN) France and the incumbent patron of the organization.
