Deuba says MCC needs to be endorsed without delay

BIRATNAGAR: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba today urged the government to endorse the much-talked MCC (Millennium Challenge Corporation) from the parliament.

Speaking to journalists at the Biratnagar Airport on Wednesday, Deuba said the Parliament should not delay in endorsing the MCC agreement.

On a different note, Deuba also said he seeks to run the party on the basis of consensus and refuted claims that he breached the party statute.

“I have not taken any steps that is against the party,” Deuba said.

Likewise, NC President Deuba demanded the post of Speaker be given to NC as it is the main opposition party in the parliament.
