Six die in an elevator collapse in Indore



NEW DELHI: At least six people were killed and several others injured when an elevator installed at the farmhouse of business tycoon Puneet Agrawal in Patalpani in Indore, collapsed on Tuesday night, police have said.

According to Indian media reports, a party was organized at the farmhouse on New Year’s eve where Puneet and his family members were also present.

The incident happened when Puneet was coming down in the elevator as the belt broke and the lift fell down.

Police said that six people were killed in the incident. Reports said that Puneet and his relatives were also injured.

They have been taken to the hospital. (Agencies)
