Nepalgunj airport to be developed as hub airport: Minister Bhattarai



NEPALGUNJ: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has stressed developing the Nepalgunj Airport as one of the hub airports in the country.

While inaugurating the extended airport apron here today, Minister Bhattarai shared that the Nepalgunj and Biratnagar airports were in high priority of the government for modernization to develop them into international airports in the future.

The extension was carried out at a total cost of over Rs 280 million. Minister Bhattarai further shared that the master plan was also in place to modernize the airport.

Minister Bhattarai further committed to prioritizing the holistic development of the region adding that the region will have no difference despite not being the provincial capital in Nepalgunj.
