US rectifies false detail ‘Buddha was born in India’



KATHMANDU: The United States of America has rectified a false detail that spiritual leader Gautam Buddha was born in India in the secondary school level syllabus.

This erroneous detail was corrected in the school syllabus at the initiation of a social worker of Nepali origin.

In grade six and nine of the secondary level school under the education department and in the subject Global History at grade XI and XII there had been a false detail that Buddha was born in India.

The Education Department of the State decided to rectify the false detail at the initiation of the social worker and member of Queens Community Board-5 Gyanal Thapa.
