KMC to establish City Library at Durbar High School



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is all set to set up a City Library at the premises of Durbar High School in Kathmandu.

The KMC is making necessary preparation to bring the library into operation at the newly constructed building of the school.

It has allocated Rs 5 million for the same in the current fiscal year.

Chief of Education Department at the KMC, Namraj Dhakal informed that the library would be modern and attractive where all types of books would be kept.

The library would be brought into operation within next two months if the all activities would move ahead as per the plan.

Works have already been forwarded with coordination between KMC-27 and School Management Committee for the same.

It is believed that the library would be more useful to teachers and students of 91 community and 541 institutional schools of KMC area.
