Bhim Rawal warns re-emergence of crisis in NCP

KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leader Bhim Rawal has warned that the crisis in the party will re-emerge if the decision of the Standing Committee and the Secretariat in making important political appointments is violated.

After the Cabinet picked ambassadors to the different countries and Chief Secretary on Thursday morning at the proposal of Chairman and Prime Minister KP Oli without consulting the party, Rawal warned that mistrust would arise in the party as before.

While the two Chairmen were at loggerheads over the rearranging of the cabinet, Oli ‘unilaterally’ accepted the resignation of Chief Secretary Lok Darshan Regmi and decided to recommend him as Nepali Ambassador to the UK.

Similarly, it was decided to recommend former Finance Minister Dr. Yuvaraj Khatiwada as ambassador to the United States and Nirmal Bishwakarma as ambassador to South Africa.

The meeting had promoted Shanker Das Bairagi to the post of Chief Secretary.
