KATHMANDU: The government has decided to reduce tax rates and excise duty.

At a press conference held on Thursday to announce the decision of the Cabinet, Government Spokesperson and Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Gyawali said that the government has decided to reduce the tax rate and excise duty.

Minister Gyawali said that it has been decided to reduce the tax rates and excise duty as per Section 18.1 of the Finance Act 2077 BS.

He also said that this provision has been published in the Gazette today and has been implemented.
