KATHMANDU: First such case in Nepal, a doctor succumbed to COVID-19 on Thursday.

A 58-year-old doctor working at the Karnali State Hospital, Surkhet died while battling coronavirus at a Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj.

He was undergoing treatment for the past two weeks after he was diagnosed with COVID-19.

He was treated on a ventilator with critical health problems and died at 3 PM today, Dr Rabin Khadka, Chief at Karnali State Health Directorate said.
