KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokhrel has expressed confidence that the intimate relations between Nepal and the United Arab Emirates would be strengthened further in the days ahead.
During a courtesy call paid by the UAE Ambassador to Nepal, Said Amdan Al Nakvi at his office Singha Durbar on Wednesday, DPM Pokhrel said there are numerous Nepali workers in the UAE and extended gratitude to UAE for its goodwill to Nepali workers in the face of COVID-19 crisis.
He reminded his last year visit to the UAE and urged the UAE investors via the Ambassador to invest jointly (with Nepali investors) in Nepal’s agriculture-related industries, tourism and hydropower.
On the occasion, Nakvi informed that the direct flight between UAE and Nepal would be regular soon and cooperation between the two countries would be upgraded.
He further said the investors in his country were interested in investing in hydropower, tourism and agriculture-related industries.
Similarly, the Ambassador said the Nepali workers were contributing to security, construction and service sector in his country, according to Spokesperson at Defense Ministry, Krishna Prasad Gyawali.
