KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress lawmaker Gyan Kumari Chhantyal has passed away.

Chhantyal passed away while undergoing treatment at Sahid Gangalal National Heart Center, Kathmandu, informed Drona Kunwar, President of Nepali Congress Baglung-2.

Chhantyal, 66, was suffering from cardiac-related ailment.

Born in Tamankhola rural Municipality-5 of Baglung, she was a lawmaker through the proportional representational system from Nepali Congress.

Her funeral rites will be performed at Pashupati Aryaghat at 1 pm today, said Kunwar.
