Coronavirus spreads to 59 districts



KATHMANDU: Coronavirus infection has now spread to 59 of the 77 districts in the country, with Doti recording its first case today.

Meanwhile, the total number of people infected with the Virus has reached 1,811, with 239 new cases reported today.

This is the highest number of single-day infection in the country, according to information shared at the regular press meet of the Ministry of Health and Population.

The confirmation today was made in various public health laboratories across the country, with the national public health laboratory, Teku showing the highest positive cases of 92.

Among the Provinces, the highest infection cases is in Province-2 with 694 infections followed by Province-5 with 622, Karnali has 198, Province-1 has 168, Bagmati has 46, Sudur Paschim has 45 and Gandaki has 26.

The number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 has reached 221, with one person discharged from the Dadeldhura hospital today. Of them, 173 are men and 48 are women.

Meanwhile, the number of PCR tests for Corona Virus has reached 71,903 while 113,757 RDT tests were carried out so far.
