Over 1,000 Indians return home via Gaddachauki

KANCHANPUR: Over 1,000 Indian nationals have returned to India via Gaddachauki checkpoint of Kanchanpur district in the past one week.

They were working at brick factories based in Kanchanpur district. They returned home in the period of six days after the local administration legally opened the border checkpoint on May 25.

Meanwhile, 18,000 Nepali people have entered Nepal via the same checkpoint during the same period.

Battalion Commander of Armed Police Force Battalion 35 said the Indians were sent back to their respective districts after in coordination with the Indian administraion.

According to the statistics maintained by the Armed Police Force, a total of 17, 920 have entered Nepal from May 25 to 30.

Likewise, 1,377 Indians returned home in the same period.
