Four metric tons waste collected from Bagmati River



LALITPUR: The Lalitpur Metropolitan City is to take responsibly of continuing Bagmati River clean-up campaign.

While taking part in the clean-up campaign at around Thapathali bridge on the occasion of 329th Bagmati- Clean-up campaign today, Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan committed to participating locals to intensify the campaign in Lalitpur areas.

He further shared that the local government was planning to enact laws to take action against those who arbitrarily deposit wastes in the river.

In today’s campaign, over 500 volunteers from different 22 organizations participated and about four metric tons of waste was collected.
