Kathmanduites witness downpour on early Saturday



KATHMANDU: Kathmanduites are witnessing downpour since early Saturday. Commuters are seen holding umbrellas to protect themselves from the rain and motorcyclists equipped with raincoats.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), the weather will remain generally cloudy with chances of light to moderate through the country today.

Light rain is occurring at many places of the eastern and central regions and at some places of the western region.

Likewise, the weather will remain cloudy through the country with chances of light rain accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning, according to the MFD.

Generally cloudy throughout the country. Light rain or thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the country , chances of heavy rainfall at one or two places of the central and western regions.

According to the MFD, the light to moderate rain is occurring at many places of the eastern and central regions since the axis of the monsoon trough is in the southern direction.
