Nepali Congress lawmakers obstruct parliamentary session; House adjourned



KATHMANDU:  Following protest by the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC), Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) adjourned today’s session of the HoR.

Nepali Congress lawmakers including Rastriya Janata Party Nepal Lawmakers disrupted the smooth functioning of Wednesday’s sessions seeking a formation of parliamentary investigation committee for the investigation of the Sarlahi murdar case.

Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara then adjourned the parliament session. Meanwhile, issuing a notice, Speaker Mahara said that the next session of the parliament will take place on Thursday.
