Smriti Irani is the youngest minister in Modi govt

NEW DELHI: Smriti Irani, 43, is the youngest in the second Narendra Modi government’s council of ministers, Indian media reports have said.

Modi’s new cabinet has the ministers with an average age of 60 years.

Ministers Anurag Singh Thakur is 44 years old while Mansukh Mandaviya and Sanjeev Kumar Balayan are 46 years. Kiren Rijiju is 47.

Debasree Chaudhuri and Rameswar Teli are both 48 years old.

Likewise, while Ram Vilas Paswan is the oldest at 73 years of age, Thaawar Chand Gehlot and Santosh Kumar Gangwar are 71 years old. (Agencies)
