54 held on drug-trafficking charge



BANKE: Police have arrested 54 individuals for their involvement in trafficking drugs in the period of two weeks in Province 5. Of them, four are women, District Police Office, Dang said in a bulletin issued yesterday.

According to the statistics, police seized 927 grams of marijuana, 9, 856.7  grams hashish and 37.650 grams heroin.

Similarly, 285 ampules of diazepam, 685 ampules of phenargan, 500 tablets of nitravet among others were seized in the period of two weeks.  The drug-trafficking soared up in Banke district due to porous borders, said DIG Pitambar Adhikari.
