NA endorses ‘Nepal Engineering Council Bill’



KATHMANDU: The National Assembly (NA) has endorsed the ‘Nepal Engineering Council (First Amendment) Bill- 2076 BS’.

The NC passed the Bill unanimously.

Meanwhile, Finance Minister Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada presented the ‘Nepal Special Service Bill-2076 BS’ in the session on behalf of Prime Minister KP Oli.

A note of dissent issued by lawmaker Prakash Pantha in regard to the proposal to seek permission to present the bill was nullified by a majority.

Presenting the bill, Minister Dr Khatiwada said that it was aimed at strengthening national independence and territorial integrity.

Likewise, the meeting also unanimously endorsed the proposal tabled by Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Lekhraj Bhatta seeking consideration over the ‘Industrial Enterprises Development Institute (First Amendment) Bill- 2075 BS’.
