Efforts to unite Madhes-Hill underway: Minister Bhattarai

DHANUSHA: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has said the government was working to implement its goal of uniting Madhes-Hill to further strengthen their culture and exchanging languages.

Minister Bhattarai also said that the government was preparing to construct statues of Vidyapati, a Maithili and Sanskrit poet, including in Ilam, Dailekh and Dadeldhura to establish the fact that Vidyapati was Nepal’s one of the greatest poets.

Speaking at a program in Dhanusha today, Minister Bhattarai also said that discussions were underway to construct a cultural and religious tourism circuit and expand a Ramayan circuit in State 2.

Homework has been initiated to operate inter-state air service and expand air service along Janakpurdham-Pashupatinath-Muktinath-Damodarkunda to promote tourism, according to him.
