KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli today instructed directed Poverty Alleviation Fund (PAF) to transform itself from the past modality of grants into a ‘think tank’ for the entities and the Ministry working in the poverty alleviation.

Speaking at a meeting of PAF at the Prime Minister’s official residence at Baluwatar today, PM Oli urged the body to make an assessment of whether the money available to it was being utilized or not.

He also suggested PAF authorities work towards eliminating poverty in a meaningful way.

Likewise, Vice Chairman of PAF, Nirmal Bhattarai informed that today’s meeting of the PAF approved a budget of Rs 50 million to develop PAF into a think tank.
