Govt allows four mine companies for excavation

KATHMANDU:  The government has allowed four companies for excavation of mines.

The Department of Mines and Geology (DMG) has given a nod to Sworgadwari Mines and Minerals Private Limited to excavate limestone, Balkumari Private Limited to excavate qartzite, Palpa Coal Private Limited to excavate coal and Gurans Stone Industry Private Limited to excavate qartzite in one and a half months of the ongoing fiscal year.

Chief of DMG Ram Prasad Ghimire said the Department has allowed the companies after perusal of their applications.

In the fiscal 2017/18, the government had permitted as many as nine companies for excavation of mines.
