PM Modi urges people to use water judiciously

NEW DELHI: India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged the people of India to use water judiciously.

In his Mann Ki Baat radio broadcast, PM Modi appealed the people to conserve water at a time when several parts of India have been affected by drought.

Major Indian cities such as Bengaluru and Chennai are staring at acute water scarcity. Several water sources have dried up, Indian media reports have said. He urged people to contribute in water conservation.

The Indian PM also urged all sections, including social and cultural organizations, society film industry, media, sportspersons and others to spread awareness on water conservation through creative campaigns.

Likewise, PM Modi also reiterated the significance of Yoga to help build a healthy society. In the program, he also suggested people to start reading books, have discussions about good books. (Agencies)
