PM Oli leaving for India to attend Modi’s swearing-in ceremony

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is leaving for India to take part in the swearing-in ceremony of newly elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday.

Prime Minister Oli will attend the oath taking ceremony of Prime Minister Modi that will be administered by President Ram Nath Kovind amid a special program today.

Modi including his Council of Ministers will take oath of office and secrecy today itself.

Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) member states have been invited to the oath taking ceremony this time. Earlier, Modi had invited heads of SAARC memer states to the swearing-in ceremony.

Prime Minister’s wife Radhika, officials including foreign ministry’s secretary will accompany Prime Minister Oli during his India visit. He will return home tomorrow.
