One arrested with brown heroin

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested Bharat Bhandari, 25, of Tikapur, Kailali, in possession of brown heroin from Nagdhunga checkpoint, the west gateway to the Kathmandu Valley.

He was held today with the narcotic substance by a security squad from the Metropolitan Police Sector, Nagdhunga in course of checking of a passenger bus.

According to Metropolitan Police Circle Thankot chief Kumar Bikram Thapa, the squad found a black bag containing 13.88 grams of the banned substance from under his seat. He is under investigation.
