Schools closed for five days due to excessive cold

SIRAHA: All schools in Siraha municipality have been closed for five days, starting today due to the increasing cold.

A continuous dip in the mercury following have cold wave has made daily life difficult in the Terai since the past few days.

A holiday has been announced for all the schools in the municipality from December 29 to January 2. The holidays will be deducted from the annual leave.

Likewise, considering the rising cold, the local administration, police and the local governments have put up fireplace in different locations.

Blankets and quilts are also being distributed to the needy.
